How it all began

Fangorn Photography began, like so many new businesses, during the heartache and turmoil of Lock-down in 2020. During this time Zadock and Rob were working in the hospitality industry and were furloughed. To preserve his sanity Zadock began to take his photography hobby very seriously, disappearing off into the country side to photograph nature, and posting on Instagram.

What began as a way of passing the time and connecting with nature soon turned into a deep passion for every aspect of photography. Zadock began contacting other start up buinesses and offering his services, working from home during lock down.

As lockdown began to ease there was more opportunities to get out and photograph weddings, parties and music concerts. Zadock’s followers on instagram began contacting him and asking him to photograph their events.

Two years on and Zadock decided it was time to form a new professional company. Zadock took the name Fangorn from the wild forest in Lord of the Rings, as an acknowledgment that his career as a photographer began in the countryside and woodland around his home.

Rob joined the Fangorn team in 2022 to organize the administrative side of the business, manage client accounts, to enhance the companies professional image and to free up Zadock’s time so he can concentrate on his passion- the photography.
